Vayedaber Elokim 5713, Class One. This Ma’amar is (very loosely) related to the two that came before it (in 5713). It’s point is: דיבור the power of speech that is connected to the עצמות, the highest level. That means בלי גבול is reached when things come down until the level of speech, which is a חידוש of מתן תורה. The ideas of the three אהבות (i. e. 1) אהבה דרעותא דליבא and 2) דחילו ורחימו שכליים and 3) דחילו ורחימו טבעיים from the end of the Ma’amar of as well as the three points of הודאה, and מדריגות ספירת העומר and מתן תורה וביטול במציאות will play out in this Ma’amar. The questions: 1) Why the word לאמור and 2) why the three expressions אנכי הוי’ אלוקיך are all used, and 3) why the double expression מארץ מצרים and מבית עבדים were asked and answered (we read the end) that when Torah comes into words it becomes real infinity.

Vayedaber Elokim 5713, Class Two. There are three parallel things: 1) world, 2) person (“man”) 3) Torah In each of these three there are four levels: דומם צומח חי מדבר. We explained how this is in “עולם” and how it is in the person, We had a very long discussion about the idea of דיבור. The essence of the matter is that speech is actually an incredibly complex phenomena that should really be impossible even for humans beings to master, but it was given to us במתנה (it was gifted to us). There are (at least) two aspects to this gift: A. רוח מללא the soul of speech which was given to no animal. B. אותיות that are rooted in עצמות itself of the “הנפש מלאה אותיות” and this is also true of אותיות וכלים as it is למעלה the שרש of כלים ואותיות is in עצמות higher than any אור. The idea of מהתעבות האור נתהוו הכלים doesn’t mean that the כלים come from אור (because they don’t they are in and from עצמות) they are revealed through אור.

Vayedaber Elokim 5713, Class Three. The four levels of דומם צומח חי ומדבר how they play out in Avodas HaAdam: דומם is the idea of doing Mitzvos with “no Soul; only the garments” on the level of מצות אנשים מלומדה. צומח is the idea of the “Nature” (or personality) of the person. This involves feeling and even growth but no real change as the nature is a constant. חי is the idea of serving Hashem with the mind and the creativity and possibility for real change and growth. However all of the above are limited in one way or another. Real infinite Avoda is the level of מדבר which is ביטול לבעל הרצון where all Mitzvos are exactly equal. This highest levels is connected to the very lowest level of מצות אנשים מלומדה. Again the link is made between דומם and מדבר.

Vayedaber Elokim 5713, Class Four. The Torah existed (was learned and even practiced) before the Torah was given. However, it was limited (only עד שרש הנבראים) because we weren’t given the אותיות התורה. At מתן תורה the בלי גבול which is למעלה משרש הנבראים was revealed and now it is possible for there to be “ביטול הגזירה” and physical can also be elevated. The real cause of this change was the giving of אותיות התורה on the occasion of מתן תורה. We explore why giving these אותיות (itself) releases the בלי גבול of תורה.

Vayedaber Elokim 5713, Class Five. The reason the בירור has to happen from Torah and not from the person’s own efforts, is because the Torah provides an infinite force to transform קליפה to קדושה. שלום for the Divine Soul that later spills over to שלום for the Animal Soul as well.
